Salt water makes up for 97% of the planet's water.
Two-thirds of the available 3% of water is stored in the ice of the North and South Poles.

NTM 2008 Summer Watering Restrictions!!

North Table Mountain Water's summer watering rules take effect May 1.  Once again this year we will be enforcing the same watering restrictions as Denver Water.

The rules are mandatory and are as follows:

  • No lawn watering between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Do not waste water by allowing it to pool in gutters, streets and alleys.
  • Do not waste water by letting it spray on concrete and asphalt.
  • Repair leaking sprinkler systems within 10 days.
  • Do not use spray irrigation while it is raining or during high winds.
  • There are no assigned watering days, but watering more than three days per week is prohibited.
For further watering information please visit Denver's web site at www.denverwater.org.
Denver Water's restrictions can be found at: Water Use Restrictions

Water Conservation
The District strongly recommends that all residents practice water conservation. Following are some web sites that offer water conservation tips:

Some easy ways to save water are:

Take a shower rather than a bath.

When brushing your teeth, only have water on when you need to rinse.

If you want a drink of cold water, keep an old milk jug in the refrigerator filled with water. This way you always have quick cold water without running the tap and waiting for the water to cool.

Install toilets that have a higher water efficiency than some of the older models. If you don't want to actually install a new toilet, there is a quick and very cost feasible solution. Stop by our main office and pick up a complimentary water conservation kit. It has a water saving toilet displacement bag that is easy to install in the toilet tank.

The water conservation kit also includes non-toxic dye tablets that allow you to test for leaks in your toilet, a shower restrictor and a faucet restrictor. Both of the restrictors are easy to install and they can save you lots of water.
